Newsletter February 2008
Dear Honey Bears & Bumble Bees,
Happy 2008!! What a great Christmas Party we had in December at the Beecher’s home in Oregon City complete with a snow storm and Santa. Thank You for the book of bear sayings and the candy, the candy didn’t make it home, but everyone who tried it thought it was delicious. We had about 25 Sisters and Brothers present with a couple of first timers. The food was great and the fellowship wonderful. Next Big Party is April 12th at Pacific University for their Hawaiian Luau. More info to come later.
February 9th we will be meeting at Naomi Chapter in Dallas, this is a WORK PARTY DAY, to work on the Christmas socks for our year for Jennings McCall. We will start at 10 AM followed with a light lunch and short meeting. Remember to bring your scissors, glue, and any decorations you might have to put on the red felt stocking we have bought. Be sure and let Brother Tom Kissinger know if you are coming so we have a count for Naomi Chapter.
Denise& Brent along with our two grandsons and our other daughter, LeeAnn, from San Jose, were here for the holidays, along with all their friends who dropped in. We were busy and it was fun, but I’m glad they are now home and it is quiet here. All of Carolyn’s Christmas decorations are put away after spending 4 days putting them up; it only took 2 to put them away.
Thanks for all the Christmas Cards I received from each of you; I am looking forward to seeing all of you at Grand Chapter. REMEMBER ask your members for NEW TO YOU CLOTHING as this is our big project this year at Grand Chapter.

The Queen Bee
Hello Honey Bears and Bumble Bees,
As I am writing this there is a full gale blowing outside. We have had wind for the last four days and I recorded a gust of 72.4 mph. (Saturday the 5th turned into a beautiful day. The kind of day that makes you want to get outside and do something, anything.)
Well, the holidays are over and I hope that everyone has recovered. This was a very good Christmas for me as my daughter, Sister Patti, and her husband were in Eastern Oregon for the holiday. This was their first trip home in two years. They live in Plano, TX.
Now it is time to get back to work. Be sure that you have to dates of workdays, meetings and parties on your calendar. It is when we get together at these less formal times, that the friendships are made that last for a lifetime.
It is only six months until Grand Chapter. Start making your plans to attend. Remember, YOU are the Grand Chapter. You decide what legislation is passed and who is elected.

Luau reservations have to be in by February 20th , and the checks need to be made out to Rebecca Price.
The event is April 12, 2008 if you are planning on going you need to be there by 4pm. The cost is $23.00 for the meal and show or if you just wnat to come to the show the cost is $17.00.
