- The November meeting of the
Honeybears was held at Golden Rule Chapter in Nyssa at noon Nov.
4, 2006. Meeting was called to order by President Carolyn Beecher.
Carolyn Patrick won the 50/50 and the group received $26.00.
- Darlene
Wanker was introduced as a member of the Registration Committee for
General Grand Chapter, and PGM of the Grand Chapter of Oregon. Rebecca
Price was introduced as Associate Conductress of the Grand Chapter
of Oregon. In addition there were two Grand Committee Members, three
Grand Representatives and two Worthy Matrons present. First timers
included Jack and Betty Royle and Ted Beecher.
- Under Visiting and Cheer, Jack and Mary Maxwell announced the arrival
of their 15 th grandchild. Carolyn Beecher will be having knee surgery
and the week following that, she will have a tooth extracted and
a root canal.
- The Ways and Means table made $40 today.
- Rebecca reported that she has completed 17 schools of instruction,
four of them just this week, and has had lots of fun – from
potlucks to jetboat rides.
- The treasurer’s report for November includes a balance of $849.50.

Rebecca announced that her daughter Denise and Carolyn
Patrick will serve as photographers for the reception tonight.

The
room at the Riverplace Hotel in Portland is booked for Dec. 8 beginning
at 7 p.m. More information will be available at our website and
reservations can be made online. The cost is $12 each and we
are asked to bring hors d’oerves to share.

Our five year
calendars are here and the kits for making baskets will be
completed and announced in the next newsletter. Deadline
for the newsletter is Nov. 14. This will be the last paper-copy
newsletter unless there are specific requests made to Rebecca.
All others will be sent via email.

Rebecca showed the prototypes
of the proposed magnetic badges. For men, the badge will
have a brown bear with a honeypot under his arms. For women,
the bear will be a lighter, rustier color. The $10 fee
will include the drops, mailing – everything.
Badge order forms will be available on line at our website. Judie
Kissinger moved and it was seconded that the total fee be $10.
Motion carried.

Rebecca heard from Kimi recently and she says our
dresses are well along in the process and should be here
soon. Rebecca also has appropriate lining fabric for the baskets.

We won’t forget we have a party tonight! Breakfast
tomorrow will be from 7 to 9 PST/8-10 MST.

Discussion and planning
for Ways and Means projects will be held at our December meeting.
Debbie moved and Jack seconded that we have a 50/50 at dinner
tonite, prior to the reception. Motion carried.

Judie says we
have made $297.50 today. The Finance Committee recommended
that our bills be paid.

Carolyn Beecher presented Rebecca
with a token of our appreciation.

include the Fall colors in New York!
