Minutes of Meeting of the Priceless Wonders
June 20, 2006
The organizational meeting of the 2006-2007 Associate Conductresses was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday June 20, 2006 following a luncheon during the 2006 Grand Chapter session. Those present voted to name the group: Priceless Wonders Officers for the 2006-2007 year were selected as follows:
Carolyn Beecher, Lyn Horine and Reva Ortez will prepare a draft set of by-laws based on successful models of prior groups. Rebecca Price, newly elected Associate Conductress for the Grand Chapter of Oregon and fearless leader of the group explained that for the most part, our luncheons will be with the Lamplighters. We will emphasize collaboration throughout our group activities. Because of the amount of planning and preparation that must be done by our group as we choose our official name and outfits, etc., we will hold a picnic August 20 at the home of Mary and Jack Maxwell in McMinnville. Each person should bring a chair and something for potluck. Our reception will be November 4, - Saturday – at the Ontario Grange Hall, halfway between Ontario and Nyssa. Everyone is invited to dinner at 5 p.m., with the reception at 7:30. This will be a big party – typical of the Priceless Wonders! Sister Theresa McKinley, Grand Conductress, presented the group with a “seed money” check of $25, and Sister Rebecca reminded us we all need to bring good ideas for our Ways and Means efforts. All members are encouraged to become involved in fund raising for the group. Priceless Wonders will adopt Sister Rebecca’s preferred symbols: Honey Bears and Bumble Bees. Those attending gave their email contact information to Debbie deBoer. Respectfully submitted Lyn Horine
